Raising a child with special needs can be a daunting challenge that threatens one’s hope and resolve. It can also embolden parents to take the bull by the horns. And, it can be both at the same time. I’m here to support you every step of the way. I help parents of children with developmental delays and disabilities through all facets of this experience. I have worked in the New York Public Schools system providing special education and counseling services to students with educational concerns and disabilities, including Muscular Dystrophy, Autism, ADD/ADHD, and conduct disorders. I worked as a Bilingual Service Coordinator at Denver Options (now Rocky Mountain Human Services), helping parents of children with developmental disabilities navigate the education, therapy and medical services they need. I help families understand a new diagnosis, advocate on behalf of their children and face the emotional distress that may arise.
